Hugs & Slugs: Enjoy the Ides of March (15th)

Slugs: I drive Victoria everyday. For a four-lane major thoroughfare the potholes, major cracks and uneven pavement creates a real obstacle course and when you weave to miss a pothole you almost take the car out beside you. Other city streets are no better. When you fill a pothole with cold pack without preparing the hole with some form of adhesive (hot tar) what do you expect? I have an idea. Let’s strip all the pavement down to dirt, put a little gravel down and we are good to go. It might feel better if everyone in B.C. got a carbon rebate like many other jurisdictions so we at least get something. Cranbrook city council asks us to call 311 to report a pothole, but for streets slated for major work they will not be doing pothole repairs. But they fail to indicate which streets they are referring to. Get out your 4X4.

Hugs: To pet-friendly landlords. You are saving lives and keeping families together. We need more of you.

Hugs: Huge Hug to Madi for taking the time to spread so much love and so many smiles with her kindness smile ducks!

Hugs: Huge hugs to Cary and Kevin at Bridge Interiors for going above and beyond in getting me my lift chair. Their professional care and concern giving 110% make me want to sing their praises. I will highly recommend them to all future buyers as I know I will be continuing to use them in the future. Thank you.

Hugs: To Toyota and Dillon for the great service once again on my Camry!

Slugs: Big slugs to the city for the lack of effort in maintaining the road from 2nd St N down to the mall. Isn’t there a foreman overseeing the repairs, which haven’t been done properly for months. It’s like an obstacle course driving down this stretch of road to the mall.

Slugs: To people that think Gold Creek road is a freeway or stunting roadway, there is a posted speed of 60k definitely is not followed at all, would be nice to see a little more RCMP presence to remind people of the rules of this road.
